Four ways we make Medicare easier

Most Medicare plans look similar on paper. The difference shows up when you actually need care. We dig into the details so you don't have to.

Review Your Current Medicare Plan

Not sure if your plan still fits? We'll review your coverage and make sure you're not overpaying or missing benefits you deserve.

Make Sure Your Doctors Are Covered

We check that your preferred doctors and specialists are in-network before you enroll — no surprises when you need care most.

Check Your Medications

We verify your prescriptions are covered and find the plan with the lowest drug costs. Small differences in Part D can mean hundreds of dollars a year.

Explain Your Benefits in Plain English

No jargon, no fine print tricks. We break down exactly what you're getting — hearing, dental, vision, transportation, and more.

However you prefer to work — we're here

Some people want a guiding hand. Others prefer to explore on their own. Both paths lead to the same place: the right plan for you.

Medicare 101 — what you need to know

Medicare doesn't have to be confusing. Here's a plain-English guide to the parts that matter.

What is Medicare?

Medicare is federal health insurance for people 65 or older, and for some younger people with disabilities. It helps cover hospital stays, doctor visits, prescriptions, and more.

There are different "parts" of Medicare — and the right combination depends on your health, your doctors, and your budget. That's where we come in.

The 4 Parts of Medicare

Part A

Hospital Insurance

Covers inpatient hospital stays, skilled nursing facility care, hospice, and some home health care.

Part B

Medical Insurance

Covers doctor visits, outpatient care, preventive services, and durable medical equipment.

Part C

Medicare Advantage

Bundles Part A + B (often including Part D). Offered by private insurers, often with extra benefits like dental, vision, and hearing.

Part D

Prescription Drugs

Helps cover the cost of prescription medications. Available as a standalone plan or bundled into Medicare Advantage.

Medicare Supplement (Medigap)

Medigap plans help pay costs that original Medicare doesn't cover — like copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles. They work alongside original Medicare (Parts A & B), not with Medicare Advantage.

Key Enrollment Dates

Initial Enrollment Period (IEP)

A 7-month window that begins 3 months before your 65th birthday, includes your birthday month, and ends 3 months after. Don't miss this window — late enrollment can mean permanent premium penalties.

Annual Enrollment Period (AEP)

October 15 – December 7 each year. You can join, switch, or drop a Medicare Advantage or Part D plan. Coverage starts January 1.

Open Enrollment Period (OEP)

January 1 – March 31. If you're in a Medicare Advantage plan, you can switch to a different plan or return to original Medicare.

Special Enrollment Periods (SEP)

Triggered by qualifying life events — losing employer coverage, moving, or a plan leaving your area. Coverage changes are allowed outside normal windows.

Common Questions

Part A is usually premium-free if you or your spouse paid Medicare taxes for at least 10 years. Part B has a monthly premium (typically around $174/month in 2024, adjusted for income). Medicare Advantage plans may have $0 premiums.
It depends on the plan. Original Medicare + Medigap generally lets you see any doctor who accepts Medicare. Medicare Advantage plans have networks, so your doctor needs to be in-network. That's exactly why we check your doctors before recommending any plan.
Medicare Advantage replaces original Medicare and is administered by a private insurer. It often includes extras (dental, vision) but restricts you to a network. Medigap supplements original Medicare — you keep the nationwide coverage of Parts A & B, and Medigap pays the gaps. Higher premium, lower out-of-pocket exposure.

Frequently asked questions

If your question isn't here, just call us — we're happy to answer anything.

Completely free to you, always. Medicare insurance carriers pay us a commission when you enroll in a plan. This is built into every Medicare plan's pricing — you don't pay more, and you get expert guidance at no extra cost.
We work with 8 top-rated carriers available in Nevada — UnitedHealthcare, SelectHealth, Humana, HealthSpring, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Wellcare, Alignment Health Plan, and SCAN Health Plan. Because we're independent, our recommendation is based on what's best for you, not what pays us the most.
That's exactly what our agents are here for. We'll ask about your doctors, your medications, your health needs, and your budget. Then we'll compare plans side by side and explain the real differences — not just the premiums, but what you'll actually pay when you use the plan.
Absolutely. Every year during the Annual Enrollment Period (October 15 – December 7), you can review your plan and switch if there's a better option. We'll compare your current plan against everything available and tell you honestly whether you should stay or switch.
Yes — we serve all of Clark County, including Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Summerlin, Boulder City, and surrounding areas. We're also licensed to help seniors across Nevada.
We can still help. If you're within 3 years of turning 65, we can start planning ahead — your Initial Enrollment Period begins 3 months before your birthday. We can also help with short-term medical coverage or other options to bridge you until Medicare kicks in.
